FEDERAL ADVOCACY
The U.S. Congress meets continually throughout the year with several scheduled breaks. In addition to participating with both WineAmerica and the Winegrape Growers of America to ensure the industry’s needs are met on the federal level, Association staff and key volunteers travel to DC several times each year to meet with staff and members of congress. Two of these trips happen typically in April and December. If you have interest in participating in either of these trips, or are planning a trip to DC and would like help scheduling visits with your elected officials and their staff members, please contact Dacota at dacota@twgga.org
Currently the vice chair of the Association Legislative and Regulatory Committee, Cord Switzer of Fredericksburg Winery in Fredericksburg works on behalf of the board to handle federal advocacy issues. Please contact Cord at cord@twgga.org
