State Fair of Texas Wine Garden

Three Texas wineries will be showcased on Sunday-Friday and four on each Saturday.  The Wine Garden will be open for tastings Sunday-Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 am. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Austin County Wine Show and Noncommercial Wine Competition

The annual Austin County Wine Show and noncommercial wine competition will be held October 11, 2014, at the Turnverein Building, Austin County Fairgrounds, Bellville, Texas. There is no charge for entry, and you may enter as many wines as you wish, but you will have to pay the entry fee to the fairgrounds to submit your wines for competition.

Texas Hill Country Wineries has scheduled a 2-day winery marketing and branding seminar with Elizabeth Slater and Gary Finnan.  This is an expanded version of the topics they discussed at the TWGGA conference earlier this year.  Registration is open now!

The seminar, entitled "Standing Ovation-Evoking a Balanced Business", is for all winery owners, managers, and staff.

The seminar will be held at the Hill Country University Center, 2818 E US Hwy 290, Fredericksburg from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The cost is $350 for Non THCW Members. A special discount is offered to THCW members.

The seminar is limited to 100 attendees so please register right away.  No day-of registration.

Mount Vernon Wine Festival for WINE IN THE PINES is October 24-25,2014 Friday 5-9 pm and Saturday 10 am to 5 pm. Wine in the Pines is a wine festival held on the picturesque downtown plaza in Mount Vernon,Tx on the fourth weekend in October.  This event is open to any Texas winery.  This will be the fifth year for Wine in the Pines.  We typically have 20 wineries attending from as far south as Houston,as far north as Paris, as far east as Naples and as far west a Wichita Falls.  Admission is $5.00 per person and tastings are $1.00 each.  Wine is available by the tasting, the glass, or the bottle.  Visit the art, crafts, and food vendors.  Enjoy the live entertainment.  Friday evening is especially fun as we stroll among the lights to  sip, shop and walk around the square.
