Mirek von Springer, Corporate Wine Director at Goody Goody Liquor, Inc., has over twenty years of experience in the food and beverage industry. He brings this wealth of knowledge to Goody Goody, where he contributes to the growth and sales of the wine department. He is responsible for the development of the wine division in the East Texas territory through employee education and off-premise sales. He is also involved with the development of new accounts for the off-premise division and the retail wine department in the greater DFW Metroplex.
Prior to his employment at Goody Goody, Mr. von Springer was the Beverage Manager at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, TX where he created and oversaw the resort’s Wine & Food Society. In addition, he was responsible for bringing the unique Enomatic Wine System to the resort’s Old Hickory Wine Bar, making Gaylord Texan Resort the first hotel/resort in the United States to utilize this innovative wine system.
Mr. von Springer received his education at the Academy of Art in West Berlin, Germany, and the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. He is a Sommelier and was also named a “tequila specialist” by Jose Cuervo.
Mirek von Springer also speaks four languages and is known for never having met a stranger! His contagious smile, consistent enthusiasm, and encouragement challenges those around him to perform at the highest level. |
