Wade Sanders is a 5th generation Texan with roots so deeply embedded in the state’s history that the city of Dallas was named after his mother’s side of the family. Growing up in Dallas allowed him to be exposed to a wide array of some of the most famous chefs to have molded the culinary landscape. This gave way to an appreciation of the hospitality industry that he went on to obtain his degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from one of the nation’s highly acclaimed programs at the University of Houston in 1996. His experience in upscale and high-end restaurants in the metroplex as GM and/or chef allowed him to continue to grow his appreciation of wine from hobby to career.
After 18 years in the restaurant business he made a slight change to further his knowledge and heighten his love for wine by working for local wine distributors in Tarrant Co. Having given several of Fort Worth’s “wine lovers” their start in wine he is consistently a respected fixture in the wine business buy both his peers and industry wine buyers. This in turn gave way to the development of his own website cowtownwinedude.com , a site dedicated to reaching wine drinkers of all levels to, as he puts it, “Drink Better Wine.” Providing his own picks and scores to some of the best family owned boutique wines from around the world. |
