Non-Commercial Wine
|
Making non-commercial wine as a gift or for your personal use can be a fun and fulfilling pass time. It is also a good way to identify whether or not you’d like to become involved in the commercial industry. Many people start out using a kit that has everything you’ll need to make your first batch of wine, while others choose to purchase specialty equipment and fruit separately. To get started you should find a home wine club in your area, find a list serve to meet more seasoned home makers and of course find a product vendor in your area. Visit the following subsequent pages for additional information! Club List Serves Product Vendors Competitions Once you’ve made your first batch, enter the Lone Star Non-Commercial Wine Competition where it will be judged by commercial winemakers from around the state. The feedback you’ll receive will help you in your journey to becoming an expert winemaker. Medals are awarded similar to a commercial wine competition. If you have a link or group you’d like listed on any of these pages, please e-mail office@twgga.org.
