TWGGA Board of Directors Election 2023

The Texas Wine & Grape Growers Association (TWGGA)’s Regional Nominating Committee is currently seeking nominations for qualified, dedicated members who represent the Texas wine and grape industry to be considered for the association’s 2023 Board of Directors ballot.

The TWGGA Board is the governing body of the association, setting strategic policy, providing general oversight, and actively pursuing association goals. Any TWGGA Member in good standing is eligible for service on the Board of Directors; please see below for specific qualifications for open officer positions.

The TWGGA Regional Nominating Committee is accepting nominations and self-applications for open positions to build a pool of possible nominees for the 2023 Board of Directors. Nominations and self-applications close December 5. After this date, the Regional Nominating Committee will set the ballot for distribution to TWGGA members.

Elections Timeline:
  • Nominees Due to Regional Nominating Committees: December 5
  • Ballot Open: December 23
  • Ballot Closed: January 22
  • New Board Members Installed: February 21

Officer Positions (Please refer to the TWGGA bylaws for descriptions of duties for each officer position):

  • President-Elect
    • Must have held voting membership in TWGGA for at least 2 years
    • Must have served on the TWGGA Board for at least 1 year
  • Treasurer
    • Must have held voting membership in TWGGA for at least 2 years
  • Secretary
    • Must have held voting membership in TWGGA for at least 2 years

Director Positions:

  • Director at Large
  • Region 2 Winery Director
  • Region 2 Vineyard Director
  • Region 4 Winery Director
  • Region 4 Vineyard Director
