The Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association proudly supports three annual wine competitions that prominently feature Texas wines – The Lone Star International Wine Competition, The GrapeFest People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic, and The Munson Cup Competition (Texas Non-Commercial Wine Competition).
Lone Star International Wine Competition
The Lone Star International Wine Competition is open to all wines produced by commercially bonded wineries in the country of origin and licensed to produce wine for sale in the U.S.
All individual wine entries must be available for public purchase at the time of the competition. There is no limit to the number of entries per winery.Learn More
GrapeFest People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic
The largest consumer judged wine competition in the United States. Many Texas wines from many of Texas’ wineries are featured during the 90 minute tasting. During GrapeFest, there are 10-12 sessions for consumers to sample and judge the wines.Learn More
The Texas Non Commercial Wine Competition
Open to Texas winemakers only. Wines may be produced by either amateur or professional winemakers, but they cannot be commercially available (for sale). The competition is managed by Grayson College.Learn More
