WHAT: Raise a Glass and Celebrate Wine Month! The Texas Wine & Art Festival (www.txwineandart.com) returns for two days of great wine, food, live music and more in Historic Old Town Spring this October.
Fall into wine season at one of the quintessential festivals in town, where the heart and soul of the area’s regional and local businesses, many of whom make their living with storefronts and weekend stands in Old Town Spring and surrounding rural towns, showcase their best wines and wine pairings. The festival will highlight 16 Texas-based wineriesfeaturing award-winning local white, red & sweet wines, meaderies and southern-style blends as well as the Not So Ordinary Go Texan artisan booths offering hand-crafted artworks, photography, original crafts, handmade fashion and more on October 5 & 6, 2019.
A Toast to Texas Wines!
The Lone Star State is home to some of the top wineries in the country, each with their own distinctive personality and style of wine-making offering wine enthusiasts the chance to savor the many flavors from across the Great State of Texas! Raise a glass and sample libations from 16 local & regional wineriesshowcasing award-winning Texas wines, along with a festive fall seasonal selection of craft beers from some of Houston’s finest micro-breweries.
Participating vineyards include Haak Vineyards & Winery, Cast Iron Winery, Pleasant Hill Winery, San Ducerro Vineyards, Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards, Red Road Vineyard, En Gedi Vineyards, Maydelle Country Wines, Bernhardt Winery, Frascone Winery, Lost Draw Cellars, Black Fairy Meadery, Landon Winery, Kissing Tree Vineyards and more.
There’s Something for Everybody!
In addition to the wine and craft beer samplings, guests can support local businesses by shopping at the Not So Ordinary Go Texan art vendor village featuring original art works, unique crafts and handmade pieces from local artists, as well as sample locally-sourced foods, delightful dessert & confectionary treats, unique culinary products and more. For a list of participating vendors, click here. Live music will take place throughout the weekend with music from local bands and acoustic performers on the Harvest Stage. The event is open to all ages and is a pet-friendly and family-friendly event; Rain or Shine.
General admission to the festival is FREE on Saturday and Sundayand provides access to the Harvest Stage and shopping.
